We mourn the loss of Horst Erbel
With the passing of Horst Erbel, Pero AG has lost a formative entrepreneurial personality who shaped the family business decisively over decades and led it into the future with foresight.

On February 10, 2026, Horst Erbel passed away peacefully after a short, serious illness in the presence of his wife, Aloisia Erbel.

From 1957 onwards, he oversaw the establishment of the company's own production facility for metal cleaning systems. Until then, the production of the systems had been outsourced. He took on the positions of foreman and then production manager in his father's company, P. Erbel.

He became a partner in the company in 1963, took on entrepreneurial responsibility as general partner in 1969, and served as active CEO of Pero AG from 1996 onwards. Over more than six decades - and with close ties to the company spanning a total of 75 years—he had a decisive influence on its development.

An entrepreneur with vision and attitude
Horst Erbel led Pero AG with strategic acumen, technical expertise, and entrepreneurial courage. Under his leadership, the company continued to develop and consolidate its position as a specialist in high-quality series cleaning systems.

His actions were always characterized by reliability, innovative strength, and a clear commitment to quality and long-term thinking.

Humanity as a management principle
In addition to his entrepreneurial achievements, Horst Erbel was distinguished above all by his humanity. For employees, partners, and companions, he was not only the CEO, but also a trusted contact and a committed family entrepreneur.

His work and his values remain both a benchmark and an obligation for Pero AG.

Continuity in the spirit of the deceased
The management of the company remains in the hands of the board members Manuela Böhm and Gerd Erbel. Together with the entire Pero team, they will consistently continue the strategic orientation of the company and pursue the goals set in the manufacture of series cleaning systems in the spirit of Horst Erbel.
